Agriculture: McGuinness, “Proactivity and preparedness are needed to deal with climate crisis”
“Risks and crises in the agricultural sector are likely to intensify rather than diminish over time, so we need to be proactive and prepared, not just reactive and forced to repair the damage,” Mairead McGuinness, European Commissioner for Financial Services told the Agriculture Council.
She added that during the meetings, “the importance for farmers of predictability and stability in times of great uncertainty” emerged.
