European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen reported no message to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to be conveyed for the inauguration ceremony of Donald Trump’s new U.S. presidency. This was stated by Commission spokeswoman Paula Pinho during her daily meeting with journalists. It will be the EU ambassador to the United States who will take part in the ceremony this afternoon.
